Haul Alert: Mac, Maxfactor and Vov

I went berserk shopping last month. I was just shopping so much that even my hubby gave up trying to control me. I don’t think I spent even one weekend without hauling some makeup stuff besides other things of course. I know I am a little late but here are the pics of my haul. Enjoy and hope you all get a little jealous as well…heee…heee

Maxfactor

I got some Maxfactor goodies. I had never noticed the brand before but after some rave reviews from fellow bloggers I knew I just had to get some stuff from there. It’s a good brand with some affordable and very good stuff. I got two single eyeshadows Passionate Plum and Midnight black which is just gorgeous black with sparkly blue flecks. The lipfinity is very good too. It consists of a liquid lipstick and a lip balm. Apply the liquid lipstick and let it dry and then finish off by applying the lip balm. I have never used a long staying lip product as good as this.

Vov

I am crazy about Miss Claire single eyeshadows and Vov too has the same singles as well. I got a gorgeous forest green and teal blue shade. I also got this amazing lip color palette which cost me just about 190 bucks. It contains some gorgeous coral and red shades. As you can see I have been using it a lot last month.

Faces and some random stuff

I got the Faces Satin matte lipstick in mulberry. It’s a beautiful brown pink shade that is so creamy and amazing. I also got these pretty earrings for some 200 bucks from Sia and  the sunscreen from Vlcc which incidently has impressed me a lot. I haven’t taken any pics but I also got a lot of stuff from Lush which includes my favorite Sylvia Stout shampoo and some amazing soaps.

Finally my favorites. My Mac Creemsheen lippi Partyline and Hepcat eyeshadow…Isn’t that purple just gorgeous..I just can’t wait to get started.

Haul Post!!! A little Mac, Faces and Revlon

I have been really, really ill these past few days. I had an eye infection, had low BP, my doctor declared I was sleep deprived and I nearly fainted in my kitchenL. I know how it sounds but I am actually looking at the bright side of things here. Since I was ill and all, my sweetest, dearest hubby decided I could shop for makeup J Yay..Yay..Yay. So I went ahead and got all these goodies for myself. I wanted to pick a lot more (I know I am being greedy but what the f@** we need to jump at these chances) but was really too weak to stand at the counters. So this is my small little haul.

Faces was running the sale. So got the blush at a flat 50% off and the cute nailpolish set at a 25% discount :)

I also got a Revlon Colorburst lipstick in shade Crimson. I got a Streetwear nail polish free with it

Btw my Valentine’s day was really nice..my hubby n me went to Dorabjee and had Drums of Heaven (chicken drumsticks) there. It is where we met for the first time and that is what we had back then. He also got me three huge cards and a red rose…soooooo sweet.

Yay!!!! My Colorbar Haul

I had decided that I was not going to buy anything before the latest Mac launch. After all I needed to save money right for the biggest ever Mac collection to hit stores this year. :P Well, my resolution went down the drain thanks to a lot of factors. The first and most important factor is that the collection has not launched in this poor city of ours L. Secondly I went to Amanora Town Centre which is a sprawling new mall in Pune and surprisingly ended up in front of a Colorbar store. I had never ever seen a Colorbar store in my life and most of the Colorbar counters in Pune are so badly stocked that you cringe every time you go there and see those bad, literally falling apart testers.

So anyways I went all bersek and almost cried when I saw that they have around fifteen velvet matte lipsticks (Most counters I went had just three to four!!). They also had the new Colorbar kajals, the shimmery I glide pencils, the shimmer magic baked blushes, eyeshadows and even the makeup brushes. So happily I shopped and shopped and then discovered that on a purchase of more than Rs. 1200 you get a velvet matte lipstick free so shopped some more. Here is my tiny little Colorbar haul. Colorbar Flat Eye Smudger Brush 122

Price: Around INR 600

The flat smudger brush is great smudging your liner, doing some crease work or even applying color under eyes. It is made of goat hair and seems expensive but I actually quite liked it.  The bristles are tightly packed and it seems a bit scratchy. It works amazingly well as a smudger.

A shimmery rich purple color. It is just the color I wanted.

Colorbar Lip Pot Bitten Berry

A beautiful berry color which reminds me of Christmas. I am in love with this color and the wonderful texture of this lip pot which by the way is a lipstick in pot and not a lip gloss.

My Freebies: Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Crème Cup

It is a fabulous nude shade. The price of this is around INR 225 but I got it free..free..free.

My Teeny Tiny Stylecraze Haul

I love shopping and since I stay at home all day I have ample amount of time to browse through the amazing number of online cosmetic stores (Between changing diapers and feeding a fussy one year old). Most of these online sites are quite nice and I personally love shopping from Urbantouch, Blab and Cosmetix.

A recent entrant in the field, Stylecraze has become quite popular in a couple of months, thanks to the amazing array of brands that they have including Bourjois, Chambor and Maxfactor which are not available on other shopping sites. Moreover the site offers some great discounts on all products including Revlon and Faces (Sigh..they have a discount on the Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses as well). The best thing about this site is that they keep updating and adding to their stock. I ordered for the Bourjois Intense Extrait Eyeshadow 09 and a Faces eyeliner. The day I placed my order they had only two shades of the Bourjois Eyeshadow. However after a day or two they have all the shades in stock and the best part is that they have a great discount on it. • The fact that they ship the order really fast. I placed the order on Monday and got the stuff by Thursday
• They have a seven day return policy
• They have COD and free shipping over INR250
• They stock some hard to get brands like Bourjois and Chambor and even offer good discounts on them
• They offer a free goodie J

What Do I Not Like

• They ship via Aramex and those courier guys are really irritating and unprofessional. Most of my online stuff shipped via Aramex does not get delivered at all. Thank God this one came safe and sound. This is however a problem here and may not be applicable everywhere.
• The packaging could be a bit better. (I guess we are just spoilt by those Urban Touch black dabbas)

My Latest Small Haul: Finally the Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss…

Last weekend I went shopping..as usual.. Anyways this time I went to Dorabjee instead of Phoenix Mall which incidentally has become our “second home” (You cannot believe the time we spend there). For people living in Pune, Dorabjee is like manna from heaven. You get everything possible there from your groceries to household utilities and of course..my favorite makeup..:) (psst..They even have ELF cosmetics)

Here are some things that I hoarded from Dorabjee. I wanted to go to the Faces counter there but my husband was glaring at me so badly that I gave up..:( poor me.. hi hi..

 This gel eyeliner is a dream. Will be posting the reviews soon. Every girl should have it..and yay!! It works on my waterline too.

Maybelline Gel Eyeliner with the superb brush

Finally the Revlon Color burst lipgloss that I wanted, Strawberry Fraise. Lovely color, smooth texture and stays on for a long time. Hmm..Have I died and gone to heaven.
