Haul Post Alert!!!

I had a gala time last weekend. We finally went to Mahabaleshwar for a night stay and it was a first one with my daughter. It was raining a lot there and the weather was cold and damp. Roaming in the small yet crowded market and the smell of the cold mountain air is the just the perfect way to celebrate the weekend. Well, before leaving for Mahabaleshwar I went for some grocery shopping and ended up buying some makeup as well J (How can a girl resist makeup after all). Here is my teeny tiny haul.

L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Eyeshadow: All Night Blue

My first L’oreal product…I know it sounds strange for a makeup addict but really before the launch of this range nothing from this brand ever appealed to me. Now after getting this eyeshadow I am lusting for the other shades in this range and not to forget the gorgeous lipsticks. The shade midnight blue from the infallible range is nothing extraordinary, a classic navy blue but with the rave reviews on the net I just had to get one of these and this amazing deep blue looked just fabulous. Moreover the price tag of just 450 bucks is really appealing.

Colorbar Eyeshadow in Potters Clay

I love Colorbar as a brand and despite the recent price hike. The eyeshadows that were originally priced at 250 bucks are now for INR300. They have a lot of new shades of the eyeshadow singles, from violets and pinks to lovely greens and browns. I picked this lovely taupe colored eyeshadow called Potters clay. I have used it just once and I have to say it’s the most gorgeous shade that can be paied with a number of colors and can even be used as a highlighter for dusky beauties. Swatches coming soon girls J.

Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Peach Crush

Anamika from Wiseshe actually made this recommendation and the moment I saw it at the counter I picked it up even without swatching. Well, Ana recommends something then it has to be good. I have to say I love the shade to the core. A lovely dark coral pink that looks amazing thanks to the slight orange undertones.

Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail color Storm Green

I love it…its so fun and naughty. The moment I spotted this at the counter I knew this was going in my kitty.

Hope you liked my haul…Reviews and swatches coming soon

Colorbar Eyeshadow in Purple Passion

Recently I did an EOTD featuring Colorbar eyeshadow in Purple Passion which is a beautiful shimmery purple. Colorbar single eyeshadows are extremely well pigmented, smooth and are available in some gorgeous colors (Check out Spicy Brown..its yummylicious) . Although I am not really a huge fan of single eyeshadows and prefer “chotu” palettes but Colorbar single eyeshadows are really quite nice. The best part is of course the price. A mere 250 bucks for these amazing eyeshadows feels like quite a steal deal.

What Colorbar Claims
The Eye Shadow is a pigmented powder that gives the eyes a shine and pearl-like effect. Ultra fine in texture, it is easy to blend while its moisturising agent keeps your eyelids soft and smooth. This product is long lasting and fade resistant.

The packaging is quite good with the simple silver casing and see through cover which makes it easier to locate the shades. Like their blush packaging, the top part of the eyeshadow contains a small mirror and a curved dual sided applicator which I have never used.

The texture is smooth and the eyeshadow is extremely fine and well pigmented. One swipe gives you rich vibrant color. Blending is quite easy as well. I usually apply this eyeshadow without a primer or a base and it stays on for around five hours which is pretty good (Some of my expensive eyeshadows don’t fare so well). The color is a beautiful purple with shimmer. All you purple lovers out there should really try this out..it is just beautiful

My recommendation: Try at least one color from this range. They are simply fabulous. My next pick is definitely expensive pink.

Yay!!!! My Colorbar Haul

I had decided that I was not going to buy anything before the latest Mac launch. After all I needed to save money right for the biggest ever Mac collection to hit stores this year. :P Well, my resolution went down the drain thanks to a lot of factors. The first and most important factor is that the collection has not launched in this poor city of ours L. Secondly I went to Amanora Town Centre which is a sprawling new mall in Pune and surprisingly ended up in front of a Colorbar store. I had never ever seen a Colorbar store in my life and most of the Colorbar counters in Pune are so badly stocked that you cringe every time you go there and see those bad, literally falling apart testers.

So anyways I went all bersek and almost cried when I saw that they have around fifteen velvet matte lipsticks (Most counters I went had just three to four!!). They also had the new Colorbar kajals, the shimmery I glide pencils, the shimmer magic baked blushes, eyeshadows and even the makeup brushes. So happily I shopped and shopped and then discovered that on a purchase of more than Rs. 1200 you get a velvet matte lipstick free so shopped some more. Here is my tiny little Colorbar haul. Swatches and Reviews coming soon. Enjoy…

Colorbar Flat Eye Smudger Brush 122

Price: Around INR 600

The flat smudger brush is great smudging your liner, doing some crease work or even applying color under eyes. It is made of goat hair and seems expensive but I actually quite liked it.  The bristles are tightly packed and it seems a bit scratchy. It works amazingly well as a smudger.

Color Eye Shadow Purple Passion

Price: INR 300 (It was previously INR250)

A shimmery rich purple color. It is just the color I wanted.

Colorbar Lip Pot Bitten Berry

A beautiful berry color which reminds me of Christmas. I am in love with this color and the wonderful texture of this lip pot which by the way is a lipstick in pot and not a lip gloss.

My Freebies: Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Crème Cup

It is a fabulous nude shade. The price of this is around INR 225 but I got it free..free..free.

A Feast for Your Eyes! My New Mac Haul

There are days when you can go completely overboard and fortunately for me (and unfortunately my bank balance) today was one of those days ...
